2.Curiosity
We lead with curiosity, helping us learn quickly and solve problems creatively. Our curiosity also drives us to seek out novel Creators, opportunities, and solutions.
3.Responsibility
We take responsibililty for how our (in) actions may impact the evolving digital metaverse, and we take responsibility for doing right by Creators and their communities.
4.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Ideas, viewpoints, and experiences from all people will help us innovate, grow, create amazing experiences, and stay relevant in the ever-changing digital metaverse. We are building a culture internally that espouses these values, and we are excited to work with Creators from different backgrounds who have different stories.
5.Unity
We value a diverse range of opinions, and once we come to a decision, we form a united front to do what's best. We also believe that individual expression within the metaverse has no borders; we are creating an interconnected and unified community.
Impact
Equity, Access, and OpportunityAt Mission Lab, we believe that no one should be left behind. We are committed to using our influence to 'level the societal playing field' by donating our time, lending our voices, and contributing money to initiatives that promote Equity, Access, and Opportunity to historically marginalized communities.
For example, internally, we ensure our business operations are remote optimized to maximize our candidate pool, and provide our employees with ongoing unconscious bias training.
We use our time and resources to provide education as a tool, review resumes, and attend job and career fairs in underserved communities. We also volunteer with organizations like The Last Mile, to provide technological training and business opportunities to incarcerated individuals.
In addition to internal initiatives, we will partner with three organizations that are solving three core barriers to equity access, and opportunity:
Medical Debt
RIP Medical Debt is a 501(c)(3) that uses its donations to wipe out the medical debt of households whose incomes are less than two times the federal poverty level guideline or with medical debt representing at least 5% of gross income.
Legal Aid
The ACLU Foundation (American Civil Liberties Union) is a 501(c)(3) that helps fund the ACLU. The ACLU works in the courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.
